Red Mountain

The Red Mountain wine region is Washington State's newest appellation, authorized on Apr. 3, 2001. Just as the Yakima Valley region is located within the Columbia Valley, Red Mountain is located within the Yakima Valley.

The wines from the Red Mountain region demostrate an exceptional balance of fruit, acidity, and tannin. The dominant grapes grown in the region are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah.
