Wine can be used in several different ways in cooking. Wine can be the main ingredient , as in Sangria, or Mulled Wine, or it can be used as a marinade for meats and vegetables, or it can be used to add flavor to a dish.

Some things need to be kept in mind when choosing a wine to use for cooking. You don't want to use any wine that you wouldn't drink. You're using the wine in cooking for the flavor, and when you're cooking, most of the alcohol will cook out, intensifying the flavors, so you'll undoubtedly want a good quality wine. On each recipe page are some suggestions for good wines to use for the recipe.
