Bordeaux

Bordeaux, located near the Atlantic coast in the southwest of France, is one of the most important winemaking region in the world. Bordeaux accounts for 34% of all French wine exports. The top wines of Bordeaux are considered the best in the world.

The climate of the Bordeaux region is generally temperate, with a short winter and high humidity due to the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean.

Wine has been produced in the Bordeaux region for centuries, probably even before the arrival of the Romans. The primary wines produced in the region are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Semillon.
