due to the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean.

the Bordeaux region for centuries, probably even before the arrival
of the Romans. The primary wines produced in the region are Cabernet
Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Semillon.
